The Daily Grind: Is there an MMO you wish you liked but just… don’t?

Yesterday I was watching both of my kids play Terraria together. Now, I bought that game before either one of them was even born, and I gave it my best effort, but I quickly realized it wasn’t for me, even on a custom guild server with my mates. But the two of them will play on their special server for hours, doing what even to a professional game journalist looks like absolute chaos and nonsense. And while I was watching them, you know what I was wishing?

I wish I liked the game. I want to play with them, yes, but also the community is wholesome and ReLogic is such a great company. I would feel good playing their stuff and knowing my money was going to a decent place.

Terraria is merely multiplayer, not an MMO, but I have this feeling about some MMORPGs too. I’ve always wished I liked FFXIV and Warframe, too, because of the decency of the studios behind hem.

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!
