At the turn of summer to autumn, we’re having a hell of a moment in MMORPGs. First, over the weekend we learned that a judge has granted Daybreak’s request for an injunction of EverQuest emulator Heroes Journey’s activities, which we’re assuming will at least mean the temporary closure of the server, which was reportedly making as much as $100,000 a month at its peak.
Second, the MMO world is holding its breath over what is promising to be a dramatic Ship of Heroes launch tomorrow. Plus, New World announced Nighthaven, Throne & Liberty launched housing with Solisium’s Awakening, Skate hit early access, Worlds Adrift left early access, Warborne Over Ashes soft launched, and Jump Space kicks ass.
