No Man’s Sky has once again hit another high water mark in player concurrency on Steam, boasting over 110K players in its latest 24-hour peak on the platform. This new mountaintop is higher than a previous climb to 97K back in 2018, only now it’s by an obviously greater margin than the older record of over 98K last week. Unsurprisingly, Hello Games founder Sean Murray has been celebrating the new concurrency highs on Twitter. “God sends his toughest battles for his strongest soldiers,” he remarks.
Much of the credit can be easily attributed to the Voyagers update, which brought on several updates like the ability for players to make their own custom frigates to zip around in, and Murray’s Twitter account has been busy with highlights of the various custom ships that players have put together, as he calls attention to scuffed, silly, and outlandish builds, along with recreations from The Matrix and Star Trek among others. We do like a good comeback story – especially one that keeps growing.
