It’s time once more for Creative Studio III and Capcom to clap hands and bring their worlds together, as a crossover between Monster Hunter Wilds and Final Fantasy XIV will be landing in early October, and now the MMORPG has opened a special site for the collab that provides a few more details.Play Final Fantasy XIV

The centerpiece of this collab will be a fight against a Guardian Arkveld, the flagship monster from Wilds. Just like the crossover with Monster Hunter World, this fight will come in normal and extreme difficulties, with the latter offering up exclusive rewards. As for how to participate, players need to have created a character, hit level 100, clear the final main story quest for the base Dawntrail expansion, and be at least item level 725 to start – a set of requirements that MOP’s Eliot noted in work chat was a real “draw the rest of the owl” situation.

And what about those rewards? Those include a seikret mount, several weapons modeled after the kind that can be crafted from Arkveld’s parts, a set of outdoor furnishings, and perhaps most importantly, a baby seikret pet that must be protected at all costs. A firm date for the event hasn’t been announced yet, but when it does, we suspect it will be posted on the site.

As for FFXIV’s part of the collab in Wilds, Capcom’s own special site offers a launch window of the end of September as part of Title Update 3, along with a couple of earlier preview images of the new Omega Planetes monster, a chocobo skin for the seikret, and the return of cactuars. More details about the collab, along with the rest of Title Update 3, are promised during a special livestream this Wednesday, September 24th, at 10:00 a.m. EDT.
