Mecha BREAK, the team vs. team shooter of mecha trying to break each other, which earned some solid praise from MOP’s Sam, is launching into its first full season today that brings in some new things for players to look forward to and a few refinements to its battle pass model.

At the top of the list of new additions is the introduction of two new mechs for players to rumble around in: Hel, a long-range combatant that wields sniper weaponry and artillery strikes while using camouflage to sneak around the battlefield; and Alphard, a high-speed and highly mobile suit that can spearhead assaults and lay down blankets of bombing fire.

Another important update for Season 1 is related to the game’s battle pass, with the promise of “greater rewards and greater flexibility in earning additional rewards” for completing matrix selection and matrix contracts. The new pass also features several new seasonal weapons to unlock like howitzers and decoy drones.

Season 1 further offers improvements to other portions of the game, like additional dailies and weeklies that provide extra rewards, more special mechs and pilots, and adjustments to its tutorial to better ease players into core gameplay. Full patch notes can be found on Steam for all of the additions and changes.
