All right, we’ve got a lot going on this week and only a limited amount of time to cover it, so let’s get right into it. EVE Vanguard has kicked off open testing through September 23rd, which we’re sure will go very well because all of that game’s spinoffs go well. Warborne: Above Ashes has launched, or soft launched if you prefer, which is basically a launch all the same.
Eterspire has also moved into testing on Steam instead of being fixed primarily on mobile. Arkheron has moved into early testing for this weekend, Skate has started its free-to-play early access period, and Lost Skies has officially jumped out of early access as well. Lots of things going down, in other words. Enough to be almost exhausting!
I also have had a hamburger. That’s not surprising, though, I have a lot of hamburgers. Would you like a hamburger? Because if you scroll down, you will not wind up with a hamburger. You will, however, see our full roundup of beta news, and more games in testing below that. If something slipped into another test phase without us noticing, let us know down in the comments!

We consider an MMO to be in open testing if it features free, public signups and will server wipe prior to launch. An MMO is marked in closed testing if it’s running a private test phase that cannot freely be accessed by the general public; it’s often under NDA as well. Early access and crowdfunded MMOs whose tests we deem legitimate will be included. So-called “open beta” soft-launch MMOs with cash shops, no sign of launch in the west, or limited interest for our readers will not be listed, nor will games that are NFT/blockchain scams; we also do not list expansions, with occasional exceptions. Finally, we’ll mark games “malingering” if they’ve been in a certain tier of development for a long time with no clear path to launch.

Yes, MMO gamers, you too can perform the unpaid quality-control work otherwise known as game testing! Check out Massively Overpowered’s Betawatch every week for a run-down of MMOs that are still on the road to launch, even if they appear to have set up a permanent residence in a shed called early access.
