World of Warcraft’s retail edition isn’t the only version of the game seeing a highly nostalgic content drop in early October. Blizzard announced on Thursday that it plans to move the WoW Classic 20th Anniversary realms into the Naxxramas phase come October 2nd.
This sixth and final phase of the year-long rollout of vanilla content unlocks a whole lot for high-level players to do, starting with the iconic Naxxramas raid. There’s also a Scourge Invasion world event happening throughout October and world PvP events in Eastern Plaguelands and Silithus.
20th Anniversary players sitting in “The Burning Crusade waiting room” at least have some hope of seeing the pre-patch — and the Blood Elf and Draenei races — before the end of 2025. “TBC waiting room is huge, can’t wait!” said one poster. “But you’ll have to,” joked another.
