Last year (we know, it felt like ten) was when we reported on Ammo and Oxygen, a co-op roguelike shooter from developer Juvty Worlds, which is known ’round these parts for the MMO Wild Terra 2. The game was anticipating an early access release for November 7th of that year, as well as its gameplay loop centering on stockpiling limited oxygen, flashlight batteries, and ammunition to survive the terrors assaulting teams of up to four.
Well, that was last year and this is the present day, or more specifically last week, which is when the game officially exited early access and hit 1.0. As one might expect, this release build features a number of adjustments and additions including story content, tweaked difficulty for certain maps, better loading animations, updated sound effects, and a list of bug fixes. A follow-up patch out this week has also added cloud saves, better hit detection for melee weapons, and another set of level-specific adjustments.
Those who were waiting for this one to exit early access can take advantage of a 20% discount on the shooter available from now until September 14th, after which it will raise to its regular $15 price tag. Otherwise, there’s a release trailer to ogle if you’re not ready to dish out the dosh yet.
