Subnautica 2 fans use the game’s latest video preview as a platform to dunk on Krafton

If there remained any belief that a video preview provided by the in-development multiplayer survivalbox Subnautica 2 would distract fans from the ongoing legal fracas between publisher Krafton and developer Unknown Worlds, it’s been shattered now, as the YouTube video’s comment box is loaded with lancing snark about Krafton’s alleged behavior.

The video itself was focused on the Collector Leviathan, a new undersea horror coming to the title, and how it was put together by the devs. The footage goes through the full process, from concepting, modeling, rigging, animating, and AI programming; overall it’s a pretty comprehensive look at development without getting too deep in the technical weeds.

Regardless, the majority of player reactions in the video’s comment box suggests that fans are not going to be distracted by a giant sea beast. “Now make the krafton collector leviathan, who collects their dev’s bonuses and withholds the bonuses from them and their families,” reads one comment. “Krafton thinks we forgot something,” reads another.

There are, of course, some responses to the video that share appreciation for the work that goes into the new leviathan, and for those who are curious about how it came to be the video awaits below. Still it is also telling how fans are not moving on – to say nothing of the fact that we’d actually suggest reading YouTube video comments if you want some popcorn entertainment.
