Generally, loading up an MMO game’s installation before it officially goes live can save a few headaches, assuming that the launch servers aren’t melting into slag. So if you happen to be hungrily awaiting the September 19th open beta launch for the PvP MMO Warborne Above Ashes, then today is the day to spend all your bandwidth on game data, as pre-loading has officially begun. We do note that developer Pumpkin Studio has been referring to the 19th as both the official global launch and an open beta, so it’s probably best to think of this one as more like a soft launch.
In addition to the initial download for the game, Pumpkin Studio has also put out a trailer hyping up the build’s release as well as some patch notes for the game, which provide granular details about the new character Vire, new gear, the cross-server auction house, and the various activities players can get in to including open world vaults, capital city capturing, and a social hub that opens at the end of the season.
There are only a couple of days left to wait, but downloading is underway. And while that’s installing, you can check out the trailer below to get a summary of what to expect intermixed with cinematic and gameplay footage.
