Back in May, the Skystone-published ByteDance MMO Crystal of Atlan officially launched on PC, PS5, and mobile after a whirlwind reveal in March. As we noted at the time, it’s an anime action MMO whose devs insist it is not a gacha MMO, but in fact the gacha components have just been moved away from characters and weapon pulls and over to pets and cosmetics, which is… better, we suppose, though the cash shop is still very present.
In any case, you might have noticed that the game didn’t actually launch on Steam with the rest of those platforms we just rattled off. Skystone and ByteDance are rectifying that in October.
“Crystal of Atlan, the cross-platform magicpunk MMO Action RPG, today unveils a brand new class – Assassin, alongside its subclasses,” the studios write. “At the same time, Crystal of Atlan will officially be launched on Steam on October 30, 2025, with a free demo available during Steam Next Fest starting October 13.”
In the meantime, the devs have opened up a pair of new servers to “accelerate progression” and offer events themed around the new class. We’ve tucked the trailer down below.
