Do you remember Pioner? It’s easy to have perhaps forgotten about this one, especially if post-apocalyptic MMOFPS titles blend into the furniture for you. We first started following this one back in 2024, when Serbia-based GFA Games talked up the shooter’s grim open world of survival, exploration, crafting, and PvPvE FPS combat. The game offered a pair of gameplay videos while also projecting an open beta this summer and a release on Steam this year.
Well, we’re sliding past summer and an open beta has obviously not happened, but that’s because it’s now slipped into sometime in October according to its latest trailer, which once again a grimy and dangerous world as well as a greater focus on its multiplayer world.
The devs have also outlined a number of adjustments being made to PvP after the wrap-up of last month’s closed test: Players can expect a more “classic” feel to capture the flag modes, better naming for capture points, fixes for character movement desync and hit registration, better balance, and more refined hitboxes.
